Chesterfield Historic
Town Site Once a growing community on the Oregon Trail, Chesterfield, is
now a ghost town. Many of the historic homes and buildings there
have been restored and are worth touring. Established in 1879,
Chesterfield was a Mormon settlement, and many of the 23 buildings
that survive today are evidence of that way of life. The entire site
of Chesterfield is now on the National Register of Historic Places.
